MISSION STATEMENT
We are a group from California’s Central Valley committed to the flourishing of every person in our community and our country. Our mission is to connect with our neighbors and provide accurate information about what is happening and how it may affect each of us, our families, and our communities.
OUR PURPOSE
We want all Americans to know how the actions of our government affect our everyday lives. We want to have meaningful conversations to find common ground even when we don’t agree on every issue. We strive to provide accurate resources so that everyone has the information they need to understand how government policies affect our health, safety, finances, rights, and freedoms.
OUR CONCERN
To keep our democracy working, we recognize that we are all connected. We believe that in times of trouble, we have a responsibility to stop the destruction of American lives, families, and communities. Right now, the Trump administration is systematically dismantling the foundations of our democracy– dismantling the check and balances set up by America’s founders, and dismantling the basic rights and freedoms guaranteed to every person by the Constitution. We believe it is up to each one of us to show up and advocate for all of the people living in our communities.
So much of our political dialogue is consumed with controversial culture war debates. And of course, these issues touch our lives and are important to discuss. And while Americans are divided over hot-button issues, the people forcing Project 2025 on the American public are taking away the rights, protections, and safety nets that we’ve all taken for granted for so long that maybe we’ve forgotten how they work. You don’t have to believe in conspiracy theories to recognize that someone else is benefiting from this, at the expense of the American people. So on this site, we’re talking about things that affect us all, like whether our food is safe to eat, whether we have health care, who has access to our personal data, and whether we all still have our basic constitutional rights.
We believe that we have so much in common with each other across political divides. We want to build on that common ground by sharing accurate information about how the current destruction of our government from within affects us all.
OUR METHODS / PROJECTS
We search for accurate sources of information on how the actions of the Trump administration affect the everyday lives of Americans and share them on our website. We reach out to our neighbors and communities through both digital and analog methods, including traditional forms of community outreach such as flyers, postcards, banners, and stickers. We share links to independent investigative journalism sites and alternative media sources that avoid bias.
We encourage all Americans to move away from online echo chambers and biased news sources, evaluate information for themselves, and stay true to the best values and principles of America’s founding and history: equality, dignity, and freedom for all, the rule of law, and a government for and by the people that prevents the abuse of power.
